Born on the island of Saipan, Margarita Ventura, moved to the United States at the age of three. During her early years in America she remembers living a nomadic lifestyle but thanks to the support of her family, private school education and sustained discipline in the performing arts; she was able to learn how to adjust and be an adaptable team player in any situation. Margarita is Filipino and Spanish with a lineage that also includes Portuguese, Italian and German. Diversity and acceptance has been a fundamental foundation to Margarita's core principles and in facing any adversity.
Since a child Margarita trained in the performing arts and dreamed upon coming to a metropolis to further hone her skills towards a professional performing career. The Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive and Professional Division was the very reason she came to New York. Although she suffered injuries, preventing her from fulfilling a long lasting professional dance career, the training, discipline and work ethic taught through the discipline of dance has been the primary source of strength within her personal and professional cultivation. Margarita couldn’t have asked for a better reason to have come to the city of perpetual movement, she has given gratitude for her experience in dance daily, as it translates into her every day life and she looks forward to its lifelong influence. She continues a proactive and disciplined life style with yoga, fitness, dance, health, wellness and nutritional practices.
Margarita also attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design, with a BBA in Design & Management, where she received recognition for her academic achievement as an International Delegate Nominee and by the National Dean's List. After graduating she has then gathered extensive experience in entertainment, fashion, promotional event planning, PR communications, marketing and advertising. Margarita has executed public relations projects for Victoria's Secret, high end fashion designers, high profile entertainment events and managed national and international campaigns. All of which involved aspects of branding strategies, mixed with style and glamour, with special focus on business practices that combined traditional business methods with 'outside the box' thinking. Currently, Margarita is project managing national and international interactive, digital, tv and print campaigns on the client side in the fashion industry. Separately, she is also a bikini model who competes in bikini competitions and is also working on launching her own Internet start up dedicated to fitness fashion for the active lifestyle.
